Guitar Lessons in Cambridge, as well as tuition on a range of musical instruments, including Bass Guitar, Ukulele, Cajon percussion, Keyboard & Vocals.
At ® we can teach syllabus content and organise exams for RockSchool (RSL) grades, during our electric guitar lessons in Cambridge. These cover carefully graded pieces specially composed to cover the techniques applicable to any given level of development. The pieces are frequently used for 'GCSE' and 'A' level performance exams. The syllabus encompasses Reading of TAB, Ear Training, Musicianship, Repertoire and Improvisation. We also use the HotRock Syllabus which is built on edited pop and Rock Classics. Pupils do not have to read music but we do encourage and teach the mastering of this skill.
Some students never do grades and simply want to play electric guitar. No problem! We've got you covered. We will, however, always push you to be better than your former self. We will teach you the chords, riffs, and electric guitar solos to songs you know and love. You will learn to improvise, develop your technique and acquire the skills to play with other musicians. Mastery of the fingerboard and an understanding of harmony whether it be through traditional interval based formula or the popular CAGED system may also be beneficial. Reading music is never mandatory but always beneficial. We can teach you this too.

“Our son has benefitted greatly from the guitar tuition provided by Pascha and Ashwyn at Gig-a-bull. From initial guidance as to the best starting point through to exam preparation, their approach has been patient, child focussed, and always positive. Lessons have been a highlight of the week rather than a chore and an excellent result in our son’s first exam was testament to the way they work. We are very pleased to recommend their tuition”.
“Just to share some feedback. Our son Jack Kirby has been loving the lessons with Ashwyn. Ashwyn strikes a great tone, is encouraging and professional. Guitar was a particular mental haven during lockdown; thanks for innovating to keep the lessons going”.
“Being a classical guitarist for as long as I can remember, I decided to delve into the world of electric guitar and have a few lessons to point me in the right direction.
Guitar Lessons With Lucas
I used the website “” which looked professional and well structured, with lessons for all types of guitar, including electric, classical and bass.
After only three lessons with Pascha Milner I had learned how to hold a plectrum, (surprisingly difficult for a classical guitarist!) , what type of guitar I should buy, and how to obtain appropriate music software ( which I’m not allowed to name here). I quickly realised that I needed to think of the electric guitar as a completely different instrument. Thanks to Pascha’s experience and patience he pitched the lessons exactly at my level.

I have no hesitation in recommending “” and the professional and intuitive approach, including a rapid summary immediately after each lesson. Thanks Pascha for helping me on my way”!

“Pascha was my guitar teacher at secondary school and since then, I genuinely haven’t found a guitar teacher that comes close to his level of skill. I got back in touch with him because I remembered his brilliant teaching and - now as an adult learner - I have learnt so much in the last year. He continues to inspire me with his wealth of musical knowledge, and keep me grounded with his helpful instructions and guidance. He is more like a mentor or a friend than a teacher, always patient and understanding. I would highly recommend him to anyone wishing to learn guitar”.Neil is a brilliant teacher. We are a family full of musicians and can highly recommend him. He has thought my daughter the technical stuff while making her feel she is accomplishing playing great songs as she progresses. He is one in a million!
Awesome teacher. Full of music. Will tailor the lessons to your particular needs and wants. Always a pleasure to practice and learn alongside.

Music is my passion. I believe in teaching simple skills in an easy, friendly style based around the songs and styles you want to learn by your favourite artists, gradually raising your game.

I have played guitar and bass for 33 years and counting, and began teaching about twenty years ago. I can give you a thorough understanding of your instrument and the skills and techniques required to play live or purely for pleasure.
I have performed in bands since my teens and have worked in famous guitar shops, working with many household names and bands, and so I have a wealth of knowledge and experience to share as well as the nuts and bolts of playing.

I can teach Electric, Acoustic, Bass, Ukelele and Classical Guitar and am comfortable working in most styles of guitar based music including Rock, Pop, Soul, Funk, Folk, Indie, Acoustic, Americana, Latin, Jazz and more.
