The guitarprogram at Miami Fine Arts Academy offers one-on-one, private lessons & classes for all ages and all levels for classical and electric guitar. Each lesson is tailored individually, taking into account age, experience, personality, and learning style. We teach ages 3 to adult. It's never too late to learn how to play the guitar.
Guitar Programs at Miami Fine Arts Academy are designed for students from 5 years old to adults. Young beginners (5 to 6) are evaluated for readiness. We have excellent guitar teachers, who teach on acoustic and electric guitars a variety of styles: rock, blues, jazz, metal, country, pop, classical, and Spanish. No matter what type of guitar classes you are interested in, we have the right teacher for you.
Each class contains elements of music theory, guitar technique, ear-training, sight-reading, solo and ensemble performance, and you will always end each class with your favorite riff or song. Guitar classes at our Academy are enhanced by the multiple performing opportunities to showcase a solo performance in a recital or jam with other musicians, including a rock band.
Chris Whiteman Interview With Jazz Guitar Life
Our guitar students begin by learning the parts of the instrument and how to properly hold their guitar. It often takes several classes to achieve the necessary comfort level of holding the instrument, developing strength of the fingers and hands to produce musical sound. We give numerous opportunities for our guitar students to perform throughout the year. Many of our events have become a yearly beloved tradition, such as Halloween Carnival, Ensemble Festival, Holiday Sounds and Annual Recital. Performing in these and other recitals is optional, where students make a personal decision with their teachers and parents as to which recitals they wish and are ready to participate in. Our events are very organized, and they are a lot of fun.
