I started a course in Jan as a beginner with Thomas and I can already play 5 songs!.. with simple chords :) both Thomas and Fiona are really lovely and they really know how to teach whilst having fun! I'd highly recommend dropping at one of their Thursday's open mic! Tons of fun and talent for free!!!
Very friendly learning environment, was a bit nervous to play with a group having not played socially for many years, but it was super relaxed, and I learnt a lot in the first session. Looking forward to the next session!

Had a great time tonight! I joined on to the beginners course a couple weeks late, but Fiona was great at running me up to speed before the class. Tom was a great instructor, and managed to get us to cover lots of ground in a short space of time. The group was super freindly and relaxed, and im looking forward to going back next week!
Having played guitar in my past within academic environment I have to say The Guitar Social club opened my eyes with their amazing and vibrant atmosphere with company of great people. Lessons are really fun and easy to follow. Feel really motivate just after few classes and my connection to the instrument greatly improved!

Personally for me, one core strength of The Guitar Social is that Thomas realises what most tutors and courses never do – we can all learn fast and well when we play whole songs together and discover as a group how to make them work. Thomas and TGS guest tutors will always tend to teach music theory for guitar, and focus too on scales, chord voicings, correct rhythm, licks, riffs, parts, soloing etc, but with a tendency to make it about the fun and learning gains when students jam together on great songs instead of staring at a white board and not playing much music. Jamming songs in similar or mixed ability groups helps TGS students become functioning musicians who have built useful real world skills and experience across many sessions similar to how working musicians rehearse and workshop songs. And you will have the opportunity to build live experience too if you wish – solo or with your term group or with others of your choice, in a safe, positive environment, with friendly fellow students as your audience. Never any pressure and just one example of where TGS delivers extra value. They are really worth trying. I haven't even done full justice here to all the different activities they do.

Chiara is an excellent voice teacher. She's very responsive to student goals and makes sure that students can succeed and be appropriately challenged. As an adult student taking lessons as a hobby, I very much appreciated her willingness to take into account my preferences while introducing me to styles and composers that I would not have sought out on my own. We worked on material ranging from song cycles to opera arias to recent Broadway songs. She also was focused on making sure that I was singing in a healthy, efficient way. I had noticeable improvement in my tone and breath support in a relatively short time due to her help on technique. I highly recommend Chiara as a voice teacher.

I have been having lessons with Chiara for 2 years now, and it has been the best vocal training I have had in my career. London Music Academy is such an amazing place! When I walked in, I felt welcomed and comfortable right away. This facility just made me feel right at home. I’ve taken voice lessons and public speaking lessons from Chiara. Being my fist voice lesson experience, I was feeling very nervous and anxious to even try it out but was immediately put at ease with her teaching style and demeanour. She made me realize that I love to sing and it is something that really brings joy to my life. Chiara made me feel comfortable which is impressive because public speaking and singing has always brought me anxiety. I can tell that she is so good at finding an individuals strengths and weaknesses and making the experience unique! My daughter has been going to this academy since she was 10 when she started she was quite shy and the tutor Chiara helped her grow in confidence. She now loves performing in front of an audience. Anthea gives her students so many wonderful opportunities to shine and bring out the best in there voices. Chiara provided all her students the opportunity to do a music video at a recording studio last year what a great experience it was my daughter loved it. Chiara is really dedicated and passionate about her academy this is shown by the amount of time and energy she puts into all the performances she organizes to ensure they are run to perfection so if you have child or even yourself and want to join a singing academy I would definitely recommend this one.:-)

I absolutely love singing with Chiara! I have no prior musical background and Chiara worked with me on making some quick improvements and helped me establish a foundation to become a better singer. She breaks down concepts in ways I can understand and lessons help me build my vocal skills. The results were quick! I still have a long ways to go, but Chiara is a patient and steady teacher.
