I didn't know what to check so when I bought this Simon & Patrick SP6 few weeks ago, I just played it little and bought it.
That I knew but what I didn't see before was the 1, 2 and 3 frets are pretty rubbed in by the high two strings.

If it plays OK, not to worry. Time to get it worked on when it stops playing OK. I discovered that for me problems will first surface when using a capo. But I don't do that much. It amazes me how much fret notching can take place before it stops playing like i want. If you put just enough and no more pressure on the frets when you play, it will slow down the process. And when refretting cannot be avoided, not all will have to be replaced if they aren't all damaged. It's not a major expense and is well worth having done if you like the guitar.
Cleaning A Rosewood Fretboard
It might be time for a partial refret... my tech charges $10 per fret. You might have to replace the nut as well if it has been altered to compensate....
How much fret 'damage' (i like to call it fret 'wear', not damage) is too much? Enough that it inhibits the playability of the guitar and affects it's sound. With that said, those grooves worn into the first fret look pretty deep, but if it doesn't affect the playability to your ears just keep playing it until it does. Fret work can be expensive, and that's probably not a very expensive guitar, so it may or may not be worth the cost of replacing those frets when the time comes. Those frets seem past the point of a simple level, crown and polish. If it only goes to the first few frets, you could consider a partial fret job, which would be way cheaper. I'd also replace or dress the nut while you're at it. If they can salvage the existing nut have the tech remove some of that material. Those slots look deep and all that extra material can cause the string to nibs, especially if you like to bend, etc.
As stated, If it doesn't buzz or fret out when you play it - play it. When it gets annoying, or anytime before, get it re-fretted where it needs it. It's a well-loved guitar. Congrats.

Fret Level And Crown
Those frets need to be replaced. If it were me I would assess how many frets need to be replaced and either take it in and have it done or do it myself. I just did a re fret on my Larrivee. I replaced all the frets. It was time consuming but well worth the effort. Larrivee sent me the frets pre-cut and radiused. I'm sure that is you contact Godin they can send you some frets.
This. I have a friend's Martin he brought in for a fret leveling with similar divots, but after a bit of truss rod tweaking and new strings I couldn't find any buzzing, so I'm telling him to keep playing it and bring it back when it's bad enough to warrant a leveling. You could also do a partial refret as mentioned above, but the tools (fret press, nippers, beveling and crowning files) aren't cheap, so probably best to take it somewhere unless you really want to invest/learn/screw up refretting on that guitar.

First piece of advice I can give you from my own experience is to make sure the manufacturer will ship you out the proper frets for your guitar. There are a lot of different sizes.( crown width/height - tang width/height etc). You will need make, model, nut width and serial number. They should be able to send them to you pre-cut and radiused. Larrivee customer service was impeccable regarding this step. If you go forward PM me and I will try to help out!!
Is This Kind Of Discolored Stripe On The Edge Of The Fretboard Normal/common?
No matter what any1 here says if it isn't buzzing you can go without a fret job. a cheaper guitar I wouldn't worry bout it till it buzzes and you might go years. have seen many worse than that

Frets on ANY guitar, cheap or expensive, will require maintenance. With fret grooves, every guitar owner will have a different tolerance level based upon personality and playing style.
When it begins to bother you, then you should talk to a local qualified pro and decide whether to replace frets or simply dress & re-crown frets. A full fret dressing and setup will run near 200 CDN dollars, and a full refret near 300, but the prices will vary (and quality will vary) depending upon who is doing the job.
